Sometimes, less is more.

A return to the fold

To maximise space in the home, one should look no further than Hong Kong. Hong Kong is known for having one of the most expensive real estate in the world, and its residents have no choice but to think of creative ways to make best use of whatever space they have.

For example, the dining table can be folded and rolled to one end of the living room. Moreover, photos and memorabilia can be hung from the black metal rail (see top right).

Maximising every bit of space

In Hong Kong, beds are often surrounded with literal brick walls. This has led to the explosion of built-in wardrobes and gas-lift beds for residents to save space.
